Valentin Hartmann was born in Tübingen in 1979. As a trained carpenter, he recognised his passion for designing and creating visible objects at an early age.

However, his professional career initially took a different direction. He learnt about good design, stylish furnishing and professional planning while studying at the furniture college in Cologne.

Immediately afterwards, he set up his own business and founded bordbar design GmbH. With the worldwide distribution of original aircraft trolleys, he established an industrial piece of furniture in the furnishing industry and was honoured with international awards.

Since selling his company, Valentin Hartmann has once again consciously focussed on art and his love of design.
